The longer version
I came into marketing about ten years ago and spent the first few years doing what most people in paid media do: building campaigns, adding keywords, moving budget toward whatever the platform reported as working. It took longer than I would like to admit to notice that the platform's answer and the business's answer were rarely the same number.
That gap is most of what I have worked on since. Conversion tracking that counts the wrong thing. Attribution that flatters the last click. Reports that are technically accurate and still leave an owner unable to say which half of the budget earned its keep. The tactics are usually fine. The measurement underneath them usually is not.
I am now Head of Marketing at Atlantis Digital in Haarlem, working mostly with Dutch small and mid-sized businesses. At that size a marketing budget is somebody's salary, not a rounding error, which is why the measurement question is not academic.
Outside the client work the same thing keeps happening: someone asks how I would approach a problem, I explain a method I have used a dozen times, and it stays in a Slack thread. This site is where those get written down properly.
The idea behind atakanalevli.com
This site exists to be useful before it asks for anything. No gate, no lead magnet, no call to book before you can read the thing. Everything is on the page and in the page, readable by a person and by a machine.
The unit is the framework: a named method with a definition that stands on its own, the conditions it applies under, the conditions it does not, numbered steps, and a worked example with real figures. Naming a method is not vanity. A method with a name can be repeated, argued with and cited. One without a name has to be re-explained every time.
It is built to be quoted, including by software. Search engines and language models are both how people find this kind of work now, so a claim can be lifted out of any page here with its attribution intact: one canonical URL per piece, a definition that survives without its context, and structured data saying who wrote what.
The one thing I ask for is your email address, and the only promise attached to it is that you get the next piece when it is finished. No schedule and no sequence.
